Veda Backs Datalicious Productisation as It Invests in New Data-Driven Marketing Solutions

Following a $1 billion valuation after their IPO in December 2013, Veda invested in Datalicious in early 2014 as part of its growth strategy for its marketing services division, Inivio. At the time, Datalicious founder Christian Bartens said the investment would allow Datalicious to develop new products for its customers and further assist them in improving the effectiveness and return on their marketing programs.
Over the past few months, the Datalicious team have delivered on this intention, investing heavily in key product offerings SuperTag, OptimaHub, DataCollector and DataExchange.
Bartens reiterates the investment has been well-planned and Veda’s support has been invaluable. “We’ve worked hard to get the strategy around our productisation right. On their own, these are great digital marketing tools, but when you connect them all, they deliver powerful, actionable insights and play a vital role in our data driven marketing solutions.

In addition to investing in productisation, Datalicious is using the investment to grow its own workforce, hiring a product manager among several key hires, as well as expand operations internationally, opening an office in Manila and recruiting business developers in the US and Europe.
