3rd Annual Tri-Valley Kids Splash and Dash

Pleasanton, CA, July 31, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The 3rd annual Tri-Valley Kid’s Splash and Dash #2 presented by the Tri-Valley Triathlon Club, is set to take place again with its new and improved spectator friendly course on the morning of September 7 beginning at 8:30a.m.

On July 20, TVTC held the first part of this summer series with the new improve route at the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center, 4455 Black Ave, Pleasanton. The pool swim and new run course added to the excitement, fun and safety the athletes had. The new run course ended with a professional runner’s chute and finish arch for the kids to run through. Each child was announced and photographed as he or she crossed the finished line. They were then presented with a finisher’s medal, and the excitement didn’t end there. There was a sponsor’s expo area, raffle, game booths, free ice cream and podium photo opportunity to make every athlete feel like a champion.

The Splash and Dash Series is a swim/run event that introduces youth ages 5-15 to the sport of triathlon. The focus of the event is on participation rather than competition. This is a non-competitive event with no times taken. Every participant receives a USAT Splash and Dash finisher’s medal and t-shirt. This is one of 40 USA Triathlon sanctioned Splash and Dash events across the country.

The event is made possible by their wonderful sponsors like Tri-Valley Triathlon Club, 6 Fifteen Cyclery and many more. They are still accepting sponsorships as well as seeking volunteers to help the day of the event. More details of the event including a youth training program for the Splash and Dash series can be found at www.tvtckidssplashanddash.com
