Accretive Helping Hands Supports Oregon Charity

Chicago, IL, August 01, 2014 --(PR.com)-- In June, Accretive Helping Hands participated in a fundraiser supporting Without Strings, a non-profit 501(3)c organization that serves Marion and Polk Counties in Oregon. Accretive Helping Hands is how Accretive Health’s 1,750 U.S. employees extend their volunteerism across the country. Accretive Helping Hands helps patients and their families navigate the difficulties encountered after treatment by partnering with community healthcare and social work providers.

The primary purpose of Without Strings is to provide no/low income and homeless populations with preventative care, health education and links to other social services. Accretive Health employees working at Salem Health in Oregon learned of the group’s work and joined the afternoon festivities that included both silent and live auctions and a raffle to support the not-for-profit’s efforts.

“Money raised will benefit the organization’s foot care clinic, dental clinic, and immunization clinics,” said Surkhaba Khan, an Accretive Health employee at Salem Health and active member of Accretive Helping Hands. “Our team was happy to participate in such a worthwhile cause.”
