Seattle, WA, September 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- GreaterGood Celebrates Charitable Giving Milestones.

The Organization Helping People, Pets and the Planet Announces More Than $3 Million in Charitable Giving in the First Half of 2014.

GreaterGood.org, a 501(c) 3 non-profit with the mission to improve the health and well-being of people, pets and the planet celebrates reaching more than $3 million in charitable giving in the first half of 2014. With the support of its partner, GreaterGood.com, hundreds of non-profits have received more than $30 million since 1999.

GreaterGood.com and its family of online activism sites support GreaterGood.org’s mission by providing funding focused on core areas of need around the globe. This year, GreaterGood supported and developed several campaigns doing exceptional work:

One Picture Saves a Life
· The One Picture Saves a Life campaign seeks to help more pets get adopted by raising the awareness about the impact of an engaging intake photo and arms shelter staff and volunteers with the resources to do so. GreaterGood.org and The Animal Rescue Site™ have partnered with Seth Casteel, award winning photographer and author of Underwater Dogs, celebrity groomer and author of DIY Dog Grooming Jorge Bendersky, and Wahl Clipper Corporation (WAHL) to host a series of workshops at tour stops around the country, and also provides educational videos and resources which outline key skills on the campaign’s website.

The Other Side
· GreaterGood.org and The Literacy Site have partnered with Dream Weaver Foundation, The M.A.D. Girls, and music icons Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo to launch The Other Side, a campaign supporting continued education for children in Haiti. It is founded on the belief that doors of opportunity can be opened to help those struggling with health, literacy, and self-esteem by providing resources, education, and a helping hand. In January of 2014, the program successfully funded the first model high school on the Haitian island of La Ganôve.

A Safe Ride to School
· A Safe Ride to School is an initiative started by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Dexter Filkins and an Afghan colleague to ensure the safety of girls attending the Mirwais Mena School for Girls in Afghanistan by providing a school bus and driver. Greatergood.org has since taken over the initiative, and is raising money to fund two additional school buses.

The Alzheimer’s Site™ and The Alzheimer's Site Store
· The Alzheimer’s Site, launched in March 2014, joins a network of GreaterGood.com’s existing Click to Give™ sites, supported by GreaterGood.org, in providing visitors with the opportunity to support important causes through simple online actions. The goal is to help connect people with information while raising funds for promising research in the field through these two new sites.

Mammograms For Women in Need
· Three times a year, GreaterGood.org dispenses funds to organizations that provide life-saving screenings for women at especially high risk for the disease, including the American-Italian Cancer Foundation Mobile Clinic in New York, the Premier Community Health Screening for Underserved Women in Ohio, the Pima County Health Department in Arizona, and the Kentucky One Health Mobile Screening For Low Income Women at James Graham Brown Cancer Center in Kentucky.

GreaterGood.org also provided support to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Soles4Souls, Sky Island Alliance and Rainforest Trust. With GreaterGood.org’s help, these organizations have been able to far exceed a variety of goals.

“GreaterGood.org has made it possible for the ASPCA to rescue countless animals from cruel situations, including the second largest dog fighting operation in U.S. history,” said Tim Rickey, Vice President of Field Investigations and Response for the ASPCA. “Often times, animals rescued from criminal cases are sheltered for extended periods of time while their abusers are prosecuted, and the support of GreaterGood.org has helped us provide these animals with much-needed care and attention during that critical time.”

“Greatergoood.org provided tremendous support during our Amazon Earth Day campaign. With its help not only was the campaign successful, but we exceeded our goals and protected over 100,000 acres of Amazon rainforest in Peru, saving critical habitat for jaguars and other threatened wildlife,” said Joe Lowe, the Communication Director for the Rainforest Trust.

About GreaterGood
One hundred percent of the funds raised for charity by the GreaterGood Network of websites are distributed to the non-profit partner GreaterGood.org. Grants are then paid to charities and non-profit organizations implementing or sustaining programs in GreaterGood Network's key mission areas. The GreaterGood Network retail websites are owned and operated by CharityUSA.com, LLC. GreaterGood.org is an independent 501(c)(3) charity.

The GreaterGood Network of websites offers the public a unique opportunity to support causes they care about at no cost to them. Each person's daily click on the Click-To-Give sites displays sponsor advertising. One hundred percent of those advertising revenues are paid as a royalty to GreaterGood.org, which in turn makes grants to its charity partners. Supporters can also contribute directly to charity by purchasing Gifts that Give More™, where 100 percent of their donation is given to charity, or by purchasing one of the 7,000+ products in the store including jewelry, apparel, and gifts. Between 3 and 50 percent of the retail price from items purchased in GreaterGood stores is paid to GreaterGood.org, supporting worthy programs that further its mission to improve the health and well-being of people, pets, and the planet.
