International Creativity Group to Gather for 14th Year in New Lebanon, NY October 24-26, 2014

Albany, NY, September 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Next Idea Creativity Retreat will gather for its 14th year for a weekend of innovation, creativity, self-discovery and more. “Next Idea” is shorthand for the most exclusive and intimate gathering of creativity professionals from around the globe.

Creativity professionals? Who are they? They are artists, scientists, business owners, sales people, project managers, engineers, team leaders, clergy, management consultants, social workers, educators, and motivational speakers.

Next Idea (formerly Creativity Institute) is a gathering to discover efficient ways of breaking through the clutter, letting go and grasping that AHA moment, which may very well turn out to be a series of AHA moments. Eileen Doyle, an attendee and presenter since the event’s inception, couldn’t agree more. “Participants are assured aha moments, oh-my moments, out-of-body moments and general feelings of happiness.”

Next Idea kicks off with a communal dinner where old friends reunite and new friends get welcomed in. Then it is on to the main hall for an evening of fun, laughter, and quick insights and tastes of what the weekend brings.

Saturday and Sunday are non-stop workshops of experiential learning, where our faculty of creative problem solving practitioners try out new modalities for getting to AHA. Movement, math, art, business and storytelling are just a few of the methods our workshop leaders have introduced over the years to inspire creativity.

There’ll be concurrent sessions, speed sessions and an Open Space opportunity to learn or Mastermind. Participants can select from a wide range of topics in Personal, Professional and Business Creativity featuring science, research, and artistic creativity.

There'll be sessions that use minds, some that use hands and some that use feet. Some of the sessions include Improv Acting and Improv Writing, Ideating from Bust to Boom, The Greatest Convergent Technique Ever, Getting the Monkey Off Your Back, Developing Your Creative Persona and Creative Marketing Approaches for your Business.

Next Idea convenes at an ancient Shaker village nestled deep in the woods of New Lebanon, NY to test out new ideas, eat great food and revel in the autumnal kaleidoscope. It's limited to 60 participants and the weekend is priced right. Participants will be surprised at what creativity unleashes itself.

This could be the weekend that Art, Science & Spirit of Creativity breathes some new energy into life. “Everyone needs a place and space to slow down, to be, to play, to congregate and collaborate,” says Whitney Freya, a past presenter and attendee. This is your opportunity.
