Tilt-A-Hitch Aquired by Mozaic Motorsports

The world's first tilting hitch company acquired by Mozaic Motorsports, becomes sister company to Bushtec Performance Sport Trailers, Bunkhouse Camper Trailers, and Trigg Trike Kits.

Marietta, OH, October 12, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Mozaic Motorsports (Mozaic) acquired Tilt-A-Hitch on October 1, 2014. The most recent addition to the Mozaic portfolio will retain the Tilt-A-Hitch brand name. Tilt-A-Hitch, which offers a patented tilting hitch and optional electronic jack, will join sister companies Bushtec, Bunkhouse and Trigg in their Jacksboro, TN, customer service call center.

Tilt-A-Hitch easily and safely converts a regular trailer to a tilting trailer to allow simple loading and unloading of cargo, hot-rods, tractors, ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, and much more. The product is approved for an 8,ooo lb. towing capacity, constructed of heavy steel and mounts to a standard 2" ball receiver. Tilt-A-Hitch offers various tilting angles and requires a jack to lift the trailer, as the hitch itself will not raise and lower automatically. The company sells a 12 volt electric jack that completes the trailer tilt adjustment in one simple step. The US-made products are available direct-to-consumer via e-commerce and auto-related events as well as through an established dealer network.

Lane Smith developed Tilt-A-Hitch in 2005. His love of low, fast cars lead him to recognize the need for an adjustable tilting hitch system. His hot rods were being damaged when he loaded them for transport. "I refused to pay $6,000 for a tilting trailer because I knew there had to be a better way," said Smith. "Tilt-A-Hitch makes loading, unloading and hauling faster, easier and safer."

Mozaic Motorsports is a vehicle and motorsport conglomerate that operates regional dealerships as well as privately held brands. Tilt-A-Hitch will join Hometown Harley-Davidson (Winterville, NC), Hometown Motorsports (Marietta, OH), Bushtec Performance Trailers, Bunkhouse Camper Trailers and Trigg Trike Kits as a Mozaic company.

"We welcome the opportunity to add another brand to the Mozaic family," said Gary Sipes, Vice President of Mozaic. "Tilt-A-Hitch is a perfect match for our companies. Tilt-A-Hitch works well with any auto-related company, I have no doubt it will thrive. We will continue to sell direct to consumer and grow the national dealer base in the auto market as well as farming, hardware, home improvement and any other related industry." Smith feels comfortable with Mozaic taking over the business. "All of the Mozaic companies are stand-up brands that are known for their quality," said Smith. "Tilt-A-Hitch fits so well with Mozaic."

Mozaic continues to seek acquisition opportunities. "We continue to identify brands that are natural additions to our group. We acquire companies to bring recognition and sales to a higher level. We strengthen our portfolio by acquiring quality brands. Acquiring smaller, founder-driven companies offers mutual benefits for seller and buyer," said Sipes.

Tilt-A-Hitch has transferred communications to the Bushtec call center. Manufacturing and distribution will be uninterrupted, as all existing processes will remain. A redesigned website will launch in mid-November under the existing www.tiltahitch.com domain. The site will receive a new look and navigation.
