Arrowhead Grill First to Introduce Patrón Añejo Tequila to Arizona Through Exclusive Barrel Program
Glendale, AZ, October 28, 2014 --(PR.com)-- After aging perfectly for 13 months from the Agave fields of Jalisco, Mexico, a hand-selected barrel of Patrón Añejo Tequila makes an incredibly rare appearance at Arrowhead Grill this fall.

Arrowhead Grill is the first in the state to participate in Patrón’s exclusive barrel selection program. It’s a testament to Arrowhead Grill’s commitment to provide customers with a premium dining experience; which now includes the elegant tastes of Patrón Añejo directly from the barrel, to retain the rich flavors of an impeccable tequila.

The barrel selected by Arrowhead Grill uniquely balances American White Oak and French Limousin Oak, providing vibrant flavor that can only be found at Arrowhead Grill.

From the onset, the aroma of oak, vanilla, raisin and a faint scent of citrus seduces palates with the alluring flavors of Patrón Añejo Tequila. The first sip exposes the distinct oak wood taste leading into the sweet flavors of Madagascar vanilla bean with a hint of marshmallow and honey. The delicate tequila finishes with the enriching aftertaste of caramel and a smoky undertone.

A cultivation of sweet and smoky notes sets Patrón Añejo Tequila apart, and Arrowhead Grill is celebrating its exquisite taste and flavors with a variety of specialty drinks and tasting experiences created especially for Patrón Añejo Tequila to complement and enhance its vibrant flavors.

Using Patrón Añejo Tequila, the Patrón Perfect Margarita captures the spirit of the enticing liquor. A chilled martini glass is served with a generous portion of Patrón Añejo and balanced with fresh squeezed lime juice and topped with amber Agave nectar and a dash of orange essence.

Dedicated tequila aficionados will appreciate the trio of tequila, “A Taste of Jalisco”, offered in an exploratory flight of tequila including Arrowhead Grill’s Barrel Selection of Patrón Añejo alongside Clase Azul Reposado, arguably the best Reposado in the world, showcasing Tequila in its youth, as well as El Tesoro’s “El Paradiso” Extra Añejo showcasing what tequila can become when allowed to age for more than three years. The Taste of Jalisco will allow enthusiasts to compare the unique nature of each tequila in a side-by-side setting that’s sure to intrigue and delight.

To truly appreciate the distinctiveness of the barrel of Patrón Añejo, an understanding of the complex process to produce the liquor is necessary. The Agave plant requires 6-years to reach full-maturity and sugar levels before it is able to be cultivated, roasted, and fermented for 13 months. The slow process ensures the vibrancy expected from the exceptional tequila.

Arrowhead Grill’s barrel of Patrón Añejo requires more than seven years to deliver its remarkable flavor and will only be offered for a limited period. Reserving a table at (623) 566-2224 is your first step to experiencing the tantalizing flavors of our exclusive Patrón Añejo.
