CIO Review Magazine Cover Story Explains How Ultriva Improves on Time Delivery Rates

Cupertino, CA, October 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Ultriva, the leader in collaborative supply chain solutions, was the cover story in the current October issue of CIO Review. This issue was the manufacturing technology special edition. Raj Kumar, who authored the feature article titled, “Ultriva: Escalating Manufacturing Output Through Lean.” Narayan Laksham, Ultriva’s founder and CEO explained how he applied lean principles to the supply chain processes and developed a solution that triumphs over the traditional Material Requirements Planning (MPR) systems and delivers more value.

Recently a leading Global Biotech/Pharmaceutical company chose Ultriva’s cloud-based Lean Factory Management (LFM) solution, which helped them gain control of its inventory by establishing a series of interconnected consumption-driven material replenishment loops between manufacturing usage and supply locations.

Laksham noted, “Within 60 days of deployment Ultriva, the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Company’s manufacturing services team improved on-time delivery rates from 62% to 82%, while eliminating stockouts. With Ultriva, the company continues to make strides towards improving on-time delivery and employee productivity.”

According to Kumar, “Ultriva improves services levels on both sides of the supply chain. Suppliers increase their performance through collaboration, real-time information, and superior visibility and manufacturers improve their retention rate by right sizing the inventory and reducing lead times through the implementation of pull methodologies.”
