Digital Music Exploration and Song Sharing Web Project Bolsters Idea of Creative Cover Art to Revamp Music Industry

Beverly Hills, CA, October 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Crowdfunding project seeks to help recording artists market their music and contribute to a great cause through cover art.

Daniel James, singer and songwriter for House of Never, a prominent band out of Austin, TX said that the barrier to entry for independent musicians is lower than it has ever been, but that change makes it harder to stand out from the crowd. “Understanding the value of marketing and employing it effectively is now squarely in your hands and critical to your success,” said James.

Kamil Grzych, Co-Founder of MillionTraqs describes the project as a million ways to discover music. “For a small fee, artists are able to showcase their track without being judged by name and genre. Fans browse the collection as an art gallery and discover music they otherwise would have missed,” said Grzych. On top of that, a portion of the fee is going to support the music industry through Little Kids Rock and the Fender Music Foundation.

Little Kids Rock is a New Jersey-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that donates musical instruments to under-served children in public school districts all over the United States. The Fender Music Foundation is a like minded, California-based nonprofit organization that specializes in providing music lessons to mentally disabled children in impoverished U.S. school districts.

Kevin Amerson and Kamil Grzych, the founders of MillionTraqs.com, decided to go at their venture alone instead of choosing the traditional route of using KickStarter. Amerson and Grzych plan to launch a company once one million spaces are sold on their website. "This project will kick start a music technology company. That start-up will be all about music data analysis. The data services that we build will provide instant feedback to the marketability of artists’ songs," Amerson said in a web interview with an independent journalist.

The long-term goal of MillionTraqs.com is to revolutionize the digital music industry by giving every artist a chance to join a private beta, which will help them test their music. Over 750 recording artists (major and independent) have already registered on MillionTraqs.com. Every artist will also receive real song analysis free of charge. Some lucky artists will even receive a neat surprise if MillionTraqs.com sells out of all its site space.

"If our goal is met, we will also fly out two artists to join our four-week music incubator, where you will have the chance to be mentored by veterans of the music industry. Most importantly, the incubator program will allow you the opportunity to work with Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers and engineers on your first professional single that will be featured on MillionTraqs," said Amerson and Grzych in a joint statement on their project.
