WNSC Introduces New Agricultural Apprenticeships Team

Oswestry, United Kingdom, November 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Walford and North Shropshire College (WNSC) is introducing a new team to assess agricultural apprentices, Graham Holt and Gill Coleman are bringing a wealth of previous experience in farming and agriculture to the Work-Based Learning Department at WNSC, which delivers training to farms across Shropshire, Wales and Herefordshire.

Graham Holt has a lifetime of experience in livestock and arable farming, and has completed an apprenticeship himself and is now assessing the next generation of farmer. On taking on his new role, Graham commented "I get a great deal of satisfaction from training the next generation of farmer, I am proud to be part of a dedicated team delivering high quality training programmes for young people who will eventually be responsible for producing the food to feed the nation and will go on to become experts in their chosen profession."

Gill Coleman went to Harper Adams University and studied a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science and has a background in sheep farming, Gill takes part in lambing every year. She has also worked for the Wynnstay Group for two years as a store manager where she was involved with sales, marketing and customer relations. Gill commented on what motivated her to take on her new role "I am passionate about young people in agriculture and how they are the future of British farming, I have been involved in agriculture all my life and wouldn’t want to work in any other industry. There are so many changes ahead in agriculture; it is exciting to be a part of."
