Nominate Your Favorite Equine Professional for the 2015 EQUUS Professional Horseman Award

Gaithersburg, MD, December 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- We all know someone in the horse industry who goes that extra mile to keep our horses healthy, happy and on track. Whether it's a trainer, a farrier, a veterinarian or a stable manager, that professional makes a difference to us and our horses. Now you can show your appreciation for that person (and win some great prizes, too) by nominating him or her for EQUUS' Professional Horseman Award. This year's contest is sponsored by Emerald Valley, Freedom Health, and Kentucky Performance Products, LLC.

To nominate your favorite equine pro, visit EQUUSMagazine.com/ProHorseman. On the entry form, include an essay of 200 words or less explaining how this person has gone above and beyond to help you and your horse. The winner will be selected by the EQUUS editorial team based on the uniqueness and overall appeal of his or her essay.

"In today's busy world, it's more important than ever to recognize the people who work hardest to keep our horses healthy and happy," notes EQUUS Editor Laurie Prinz. "This contest is a special 'thank-you' to those industry professionals who most deserve our appreciation.”

The 2015 EQUUS Professional Horseman of the Year will receive an engraved plaque. The winning essayist will receive prize packages from Emerald Valley, Freedom Health and Kentucky Performance Products, LLC—a total grand-prize package valued at nearly $800: one (1) 44 lb. bag of EquiLife Formula 4 Feet Hoof Supplement from Emerald Valley; (1) case of SUCCEED from Freedom Health; (1) KPP High Performance Pak—Neigh-Lox Advanced, Joint Armor, Elevate Maintenance Powder and Summer Games Electrolyte.

The contest is now open and will run until January 30, 2015. For more information and to enter, go to EQUUSMagazine.com/ProHorseman.
