150+ Minnesotans Embark on an 18-Week Weight Loss Battle in the Slim Down Challenge

New Hope, MN, January 08, 2015 --(PR.com)-- On January 12, 2015, 150+ Minnesotans will be in the throes of a very public 18-week journey, competing against each other to lose the highest percentage of body weight. The one male and one female who achieves the largest percentage of weight loss by the end of the journey on May 11, 2015 will win either a 7-day all-inclusive trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico or $2500.

Locally owned Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating (SSHE) of Minnesota is the host of this “2015 Slim Down Challenge.” Participants of the Challenge will be on the Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating meal plan throughout the course of the Challenge. The meal plan consists of freshly prepared, nutritionally and portion controlled meals (3 meals per day, 7 days per week). Participants qualify for free health screenings to include blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose tests at the beginning of the Challenge and again at the end, to measure and document the health improvements made. As benchmark goals are reached along the way, Challengers will receive prizes totaling over $500 in free meals or rebates. Registration for the Challenge is extended through January 28, 2015, and is open to all (adult) residents of MN and western WI. Registration and official rules are available at www.SeattleSuttonSlimDown.com.

The 2015 Slim Down Challenge marks the 10th such event sponsored by Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating of Minnesota. Opened in 2002, Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating of MN has 26 retail locations and also provides home delivery throughout the state (as well as in western WI).
