Osprey Nokomis Community and Business Expo Set for Saturday, March 28

Special Guest Speakers Include Former White House Chef John Moeller, Two-Time Olympic Coach Nicholas Romanov, "Corporate Energizer" Gayle Carson and Social Marketing Expert Ken Countess

Osprey, FL, March 14, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Former White House Chef John Moeller, two-time Olympic running coach Nicholas Romanov, "corporate energizer" Gayle Carson and social marketing expert Ken Countess are scheduled to speak at the first annual Osprey Nokomis Community and Business Expo.

Presented by the Osprey Nokomis Chamber of Commerce, with Platinum sponsors Sarasota Herald-Tribune and WSRZ 107.9 Radio, the Expo takes place Saturday, March 28, from noon to 5 p.m., at Bentley's Boutique Hotel, 1660 South Tamiami Trail, Osprey, Florida 34229.

"This is a great way to make connections and discover what Osprey and Nokomis have to offer," said Chamber President Rod Thomas.

Browse products and services, find great discounts, and enter to win numerous prizes while you get to know your neighbors, enjoy stimulating workshops, and rub shoulders with guest speakers and local movers and shakers. The Friends of Legacy Trail will give away free children's bicycle helmets on a first-come, first-served basis while they last.

The workshops and book signings start at noon and are available throughout the afternoon, followed by a local restaurant Chef's Competition at 5 p.m. After the Expo, stay for the Wine, Cheese & Jazz After-Expo Mingle from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Open to the public, the Expo and workshops are free. Tickets to the Wine, Cheese & Jazz after-party are $30 per person and are available at Bentley's Boutique Hotel, 1660 South Tamiami Trail, Osprey; RE/MAX Platinum Realty, 412 South Tamiami Trail, Osprey; Dana's Gourmet Market, 1092 South Tamiami Trail, Osprey; and at the door.

Noon No Drama in Business
Dr. Gayle Carson, women in business author, helps you increase success in business by getting out of your own way. Includes a free copy of her book, Winning Ways: How to Get to the Top and Stay There.

1 p.m. The Running Revolution
Nicholas Romanov, Ph.D., two-time Olympic coach, sports scientist and author, discusses his Pose Method®, a running technique used by the U.S. military, CrossFit and professional sports programs.

2 p.m. You’re Social, Now What? Making Social Media Work for You
Ken Countess, internationally recognized, accredited social marketing expert, explores the basics of social media – why use it, which channels and what to say.

4 p.m. Cooking for the White House
John Moeller, White House Chef for three first families, discusses his career, signature style of cuisine, and how to take advantage of fresh, seasonal produce.

Break-Out Sessions

In addition to the main workshops, there will be break-out sessions throughout the afternoon, including two Mini Business Makeover sessions by Dr. Carson, two sessions specifically for running clubs and teams by Dr. Romanov, and a variety of workshops from healthy living and natural health solutions to marketing strategies and travel security in a changing world.

Chef's Competition

5 p.m. Former White House Chef John Moeller will serve as the head judge in the local restaurant Chef's Competition.

Wine, Cheese & Jazz After-Expo Mingle
($30 per Person)

5:30-7:30 p.m. Wine tasting and craft beer sampling with cheese pairings and hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants. Mingle with guest speakers and business leaders while enjoying live light jazz.
