Portsmouth, VA, November 20, 2007 --(
PR.com)-- Admin Maven, a virtual assisting (VA) firm, has announced expansion of its writing support services. The company's revamped service menu now includes press release writing and submission. Also featured are select non-fiction ghostwriting services, including preparation of articles and blog material. The firm continues to offer an array of general administrative services as well.
Editing and proofreading have always been Admin Maven's specialties. Adding the front end of the writing process to the service listing was a natural outgrowth. The company's owner, AnnaLisa Michalski, explains that some clients initially inquired about proofreading services but didn't have the time or inclination to begin the writing they wanted polished. "Actual composition--not just completing a final proof--is what many busy small business owners really want and need. Smart managers know that having well-worded materials can do a lot to elevate an organization's image."
Michalski acknowledges that while working with words is second nature for her, not everyone sees it that way. "My doctor's receptionist asked one day what I did for a living," Michalski says. "She actually winced when I told her. She described it as 'deathly boring.' That kind of reaction was a clear signal that the market is in need of this kind of help."
What about other kinds of help--the services not listed on the company's menu? "Admin Maven does not offer services it can't perform at expert level," Michalski states. "If a potential client called asking for graphic design services, for example, I would happily refer him to a different VA with great experience in that area."
That is the magic of virtual assistance. Like other independent contractors, VAs typically offer only the services at which they excel. Most VAs offer general administrative asssistance, but many offer specialty services as well. For her firm, Michalski explains, "That means working with words to get your fantastic ideas across to others."
