Represent Master Webinar Series Highlights Tactics for Turning Internet Tee Shirt Sales Into Full-Time Careers

Power Sellers Matt Schmitt & Nishant Bhardwaj Offer Campaign Strategies for Achieving Five and Six Figure Monthly Incomes.

Los Angeles, CA, April 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Power sellers Matt Schmitt & Nishant Bhardwaj shared the insights, experiences and sales strategies that helped turn online tee shirt sales into full-time careers earning six figures monthly during the two latest entries in the Master Webinar Series (https://represent.com/masters) hosted by Represent (http://www.represent.com), a rapidly growing platform for creating and selling custom merchandise. The six-week series was launched to provide short cuts for overcoming challenges and maximizing the Internet sales tools and trends needed to thrive in the highly-competitive custom merchandise landscape.

“You can sell virtually anything over the Web once you learn to drive traffic,” said Bhardwaj. “Once all the tools are in place, all you have to do is set up a campaign, go to the beach and see a few thousand dollars in sales. The trick in tee shirt sales is capturing the passion of buyers with graphics and messages that will emotionally attach them to your designs. I commonly start with niches I know and then scale up to 20 to 30 more niches once I know I have a winner. Most winners reveal themselves within 24 hours.

“I also begin with a test budget of $15 a day in engagement and $25 in click-to-website ads on Facebook to drive traffic to the campaign page. If there are decent clicks, but not enough sales, I will then stretch it out for another day or two. However, I never discard designs. If a have strong feel for a concept, I’ll try it again in a few months. A lot of successes depend on timing. The market will tell you if they like a design or not. That is really the only thing that matters.”

Matt Schmitt echoed these sentiments during his March 24 webinar when he stated, “Focus on something that works and stay with it. Learn from the data, constantly watch the numbers and adjust campaigns accordingly. This will then provide the information necessary to build consistent solid growth by scaling out gradually. Don’t waste valuable ad dollars reaching the same people who weren’t interested in the first place.

“Also, don’t get trapped by rules. Test everything and look at the data to drive performance decisions. Each shirt works differently in separate markets. The key is doing something that is really special with a positioning that connects with audiences. Too broad of a concept won’t connect. Decide on color sets and fonts that resonate. Although, black is a top seller in most markets, dog lovers tend not to buy black tees, while accountants normally won’t buy a purple shirt. Nurses like hot pink. Constantly study the data to learn the personality of your buyers.”

In addition, Bhardwaj and Schmitt were both proponents of running multiple campaigns simultaneously with revised ad sets that reflect the likes, specific interests and positioning of each new niche or look-alike audience. Other insights for building successful campaigns and achieving six-figure incomes included:

· Never launch a campaign after 2:00 p.m. Late entries normally have a difficult time gaining traction with key audiences
· Give back to people who engage. Create value for customers outside the selling of tee shirts. Offer the chance to win free merchandise or hold promotions dedicated to special causes and charitable events. This will help build long-term bonds with buyers
· Don’t be afraid to fail. Keep thinking about new designs. Design is the most important sales aspect
· Keep ad copy short. Use language that drives action such as “if you love fishing, click on this page." Use tools that enable interested people to tag others who will buy on their behalf
· When you create a team that works, treat them well. Keep the momentum going by rewarding them for successful campaign efforts

The Master Series will resume on Tuesday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. CST with Shane Martin and conclude on April 14, 7:00 p.m. CST with Chris Blair.
