Nepal Sent Wearable Technology to Aid Emergency

Wearable technology, self-charging and hands-free lights sent to Nepal to help survival, restoration and repair.

Christchurch, New Zealand, May 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The first shipment of self-charging, wearable hands free lights have been sent to Nepal for distribution to the homeless people to help them survive, restore and rebuild their lives.

This Indiegogo fundraiser was set up at the requests of people in Nepal to send them the innovative 2C Solar Light Caps, which can provide years of hands-free light without the need for batteries.

"When countries are hit by such extreme disaster, electrical grids fail for extended periods of time, and for people to endure continuing aftershocks and the stress that comes with them, comfort can be provided during the long dark night with the aid of these 2C Solar Light Caps," says inventor, Simon Dyer. "Because they are self-charging by amorphous photovoltaic solar power, the person wearing them can expect light every night to help for many years, with no ongoing cost."

"They really do pay for themselves in battery savings, and the benefits to the people will be both immediate and ongoing while they rebuild their lives and community," says Dyer.

The Indiegogo fundraiser https://life.indiegogo.com/fundraisers/solar-light-caps-for-nepal-earthquake-victims--2 ( or bit.ly/GiveNepalLight ), has been running for 10 days which allowed the 2C Light Company to send off a first emergency shipment. As the fundraiser proceeds, the company hopes to raise enough funds to send a bulk shipment from the factory at cost price.

"I urge people to help where they can, by sharing this story or donating at the Indiegogo Given Nepal Light fundraiser, and help the people there to survive, recover and rebuild by providing these self charging 2C Solar Light Caps."
