Association of Legal Administrators Announces Rebrand Update at 2015 Annual Conference & Expo

Nashville, TN, May 20, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Association of Legal Administrators’ (ALA) 2015 Annual Conference & Expo continues in Nashville, Tennessee; the event runs through Wednesday, May 20. On Tuesday, May 19, ALA Executive Director Oliver Yandle, JD, CAE, announced that the Association’s new brand will be fully unveiled to the membership on July 23, 2015, in a session at the Chapter Leadership Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and via a live web stream.

“To ensure that we maintain and build on our advantageous position within the legal industry and that our organization remains a thought leader, we have embarked on an important branding initiative to raise our voice and meet the fast-changing needs of the legal industry,” Yandle said.

ALA was created in 1971 to nurture a new profession, help its members stay ahead of developments and trends in legal management, and provide a forward-thinking, collaborative and supportive platform for sharing knowledge and leading change. ALA is recognized as the leader in the business of law.

“As a group, ALA is excited for this opportunity to bring the association to the next level, and to take a bold step for an organization that is not afraid to be bold,” Yandle said. “Our board, and many boards before it, have been working hard on the new brand. We’re excited about this new chapter for our organization, and we hope our membership will be, too.”

ALA’s goal is to reach new members and stakeholders, to demonstrate and prove the value of members’ leadership and contributions to their organizations’ success, and to secure the future of the profession. The new brand will be fresh, modern, engaging, smart, forward-looking and progressive.

ALA will continue to roll out its brand through short videos on alanet.org, articles in its monthly digital magazine, Legal Management, BOLD Bites e-newsletter and print newsletter, webinars and town halls engaging with members and stakeholders.

ALA’s 2015 Annual Conference & Expo provides access to knowledge, connections and market-ready solutions that transform change into opportunities. Whether new to the legal management industry or a seasoned professional, each attendee has the opportunity to learn from thought leaders and solve problems with their peers.

ALA 2015-16 President Teresa Walker was also present at the announcement and echoed Yandle’s emphasis on keeping ahead of the changes in the legal industry.

“As an Association, we need to be nimble, relevant and valued,” she said. “We are the gurus who get things done in our organizations.”
