Hundreds to Participate in American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Jackson‐Canton Ohio on June 6, 2015 at 12:00pm

Hundreds of cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers, and teams of walkers from schools, companies, places of worship, and more will come together for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Jackson‐Canton Ohio.

Jackson, OH, May 27, 2015 --(PR.com)-- What: Hundreds of cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers, and teams of walkers from schools, companies, places of worship, and more will come together for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Jackson‐Canton Ohio. Event and entertainment highlights to include a live band, A DJ, a bounce house, story time, face painting, balloon animals, appearances by Felipe The Frog, Ronald McDonald, Peter Pan, Captain Hook and a meet‐and‐greet with the Frozen Princesses Anna and Elsa. Other events and activities to include a Karate demo, Brown bag auction, games, a wing eating contest, movie time for the kids and a moving luminaria ceremony to honor those who have battled cancer. This event is open to the community.

When: Opening ceremony will begin at 12:00 pm and a celebratory cancer survivors lap will happen at 12:30 followed by a survivors luncheon.

Where: Jackson High School, 7600 Fulton Dr NW, Massillon, OH

Background: The Relay For Life movement unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all. Relay For Life events are community events where teams and individuals camp out at a school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team has at least one participant on the track at all times and raises funds for the American Cancer Society in the months leading up to the event.
