‘Made in Hong Kong’

Lab Concept, Hong Kong’s leading contemporary fashion and lifestyle retail destination and Snaptee, one of Hong Kong’s first digitally-led fashion start ups, are proud to present a pop-up t-shirt exhibition and gallery, “Made in Hong Kong," at the Lab Concept mall in Queensway, Admiralty, from 17th June until 17th July.

In collaboration with some of the city’s most prolific and creative Instagrammers, fans are able to use fascinating and detailed photos of Hong Kong to design bespoke t-shirts using the Snaptee app in-store, or on their own phones and tablets.

In addition to this, local street artist SINIC was featured on site from June 18th - 20th to paint a mural inspired by the city and his take on it’s past, present and future. His wonderful and unique artwork will remain in Lab Concept for the duration of the pop up store event.

Come and see Hong Kong through the eyes of some of the city’s most creative minds, and celebrate its uniquely diverse culture and juxtaposition. Create your own t-shirts to wear, or for your friends to share. The Lab Concept x Snaptee ‘Made in Hong Kong’ pop-up is an opportunity for visitors to tell their own story and realise their own creativity.

Location: Lab Concept, 99 Queensway, Admiralty
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 10:00 am – 9:00 pm

The event launch party was held on June 19th featuring excellent music by bump Asia and V group whose great tunes and energy entertained the over 100 guests and provided a great party atmosphere. San Miguel were on site with Mac’s Great White (a craft wheat beer from NZ) and Angry Orchard Crisp Apple (No.1 Cider in US) – both of which went down extremely well with the crowd - and BLU Energy drink provided a deliciously sweet and non-alcoholic alternative.

Both Mac’s Great White and Angry Orchard Crisp Apple will continue to be available to customers throughout the whole popup event. Come in and try them both.

About Snaptee

Snaptee are a crew of t-shirt lovers setting out to start a revolution that puts creativity front and center. In their eyes, a t-shirt can be so much more than an article of clothing, it’s ‘a canvas for self-expression’. Snaptee believe that everyone can be creative and that the world is a better place when everyone is free to express their unique points of view and are cultivating a community where users can create, buy, sell and share great t-shirt designs.

Striving to challenge the old way of doing things by creating new value through technology, Snaptee are designing tools that open up the creative process and put the power to create in everyone’s hands. The Snaptee mobile app allows users to upload their own photos, illustrations and designs onto t-shirts where they can experiment with different colors, layouts and patterns, before sending the result to be printed on a variety of tops, including mens, womens and kids t-shirts, sleeveless tops and hooded sweaters.

About The Artist

SINIC is a Hong Kong based graffiti/street artist representing IDT & KB graffiti/street art crew. Since 2003, he has been actively involved in this kind of art form. Throughout his art journey, Sinic is constantly trying to break boundaries of graffiti. Currently, he is trying to combine graffiti with Western and Chinese calligraphy as a new type of “fusion” art form.

Other than working full-time as an artist, as well as co-founder of the biggest graffiti battle - Wall Lords, INVASIAN graffiti magazine and 1AGN sub culture guide book, SINIC is also an organizer/promoter for Asian urban street culture projects. In recent years, his work has been widely praised by galleries and global artist networks, thus giving him more opportunities to showcase his work in different countries.
