Dale Walksler of Wheels Through Time Museum Takes Ride! Listeners on a Tour of World’s Largest Collection of Vintage American Motorcycles
Toronto, Canada, December 05, 2007 --(
PR.com)-- Fans of vintage American iron are in for a treat when Ride! welcomes guest Dale Walksler on Dec. 5.
Dale is the affable founder and curator of the popular Wheels Through Time Museum (www.wheelsthroughtime.com), which houses the world’s largest collection of vintage American motorcycles.
The museum, located in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, recently celebrated its fifth year in operation in its current location and its 250,000th visitor.
Wheels Through Time showcases more than 300 vintage motorcycles within 38,000 square feet. Dale’s brainchild is a living museum where everything runs.
During this segment of Ride!, Dale will take listeners on a virtual tour of the museum. He’ll talk about the many incredible motorcycles that highlight the collection.
The collection includes various board track racers, factory hillclimbers, Class C competition bikes, police and military machines, and one of a kind models such as a 1917 Henderson Special, 1914 Hedstrom Prototype, and a 1914 Flesher Flyer.
Besides a vast array of motorcycle memorabilia, the museum offers special motorcycle exhibits, two working shops where you can watch vintage machines being restored, and a small collection of early American automobiles.
Listeners with questions and comments can reach Dale at the virtual studio by calling 1-347-215-8723 during the second half of the show.
The live 30-minute broadcast will air December 5 at 3 p.m. EST on Ride! on the BlogTalkRadio Network (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ride). (If you miss the live show, a podcast will be available on the Ride! website.)
