Warm Winds is as a trusted name in the surfing industry. Recognizing the complementary benefits of freediving to surfing, the Narragansett surf shop partnered with two trusted names in the freediving industry – Freedive Hawaii and Performance Freediving International – to offer a freediving course in Rhode Island.

Narragansett, RI, August 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Freedive Hawaii and Performance Freediving International – two of the most trusted names in the freediving industry – is bringing their skills and expertise to Rhode Island. In a partnership with Warm Winds, they’ll be offering a freediving course this September 5 to 6, 2015 at Wakefield for the classroom and pool sessions and Narragansett for the open water sessions. Details about the course are available at http://www.warmwinds.com/rhode-island-we-have-an-exciting-freediving-course-for-you/.

For its part, Warm Winds will contribute by doing what it does best and that is to provide high-quality gears. In addition to surfing gears, the shop also has freediving specific gears in stock that are necessary to join this course.

They're offering the Performance Freediving International Level 1 Course. It's a two-day program that tackles the fundamentals of freediving including proper breathing, equalization, physiology and safety. The PFI has tapped Freedive Hawaii which is a freediving training organization certified by the PFI, to conduct the course.

This course is designed for spearfishermen, surfers, underwater photographers, divers, snorkelers and just about anyone looking to feel more comfortable while in the water. By undergoing this course, you’ll learn how to freedive to a depth of up to 66 feet while holding your breath for more than 3 minutes.

Warm Winds recognizes how this ability can help surfers. As a surfer, you’ve experienced that moment of panic while you’re underwater after being wiped out and you don’t know how long you’ll be underwater for. By undergoing this course, you’ll learn of a new skill that you can use while you’re out in the water.

You don’t have to be a surfer in order to benefit from this course. As long as you spend time in the water, or you’re simply looking for an exciting new challenge to overcome, you can benefit from this course.

The course price is $425 which covers personalized instruction by Rhode Island native Benjamin Zyons. The course price also covers for student manual, workbook, pool and classroom sessions, open water instruction, t-shirt and PFI certification card.
