FPS Video Games Finally Come to Life Courtesy of Major League Tactical Sports

Major League Tactical Sports (MLTS) in association with Battle City USA, Southern Alabama Paintball, eCombat, and additional support from the Mobile Sports Authority are excited to announce the first U.S outdoor laser tag open championship event scheduled for an 8:30 AM start at Southern Alabama Paintball (4901 Montee Road, Theodore, AL) on Saturday, September 5th, 2015.

Mobile, AL, August 28, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Major League Tactical Sports will be hosting what has been dubbed the 1st Annual Tactical Armageddon All- Around Championship (TAAACT) event on Southern Alabama Paintball's East Field which is a field designed and built for CQC (Close Quarters Combat) scenarios. On September 5th, teams will play multiple game types to determine a true “All-Around Champion.” Prizes include a prize pool of one-half of all registration fees, free MLTS pro cards for the top three teams, and a guaranteed #1 seed in the 2016 event at Paintball Explosion (pbbomb.com) in Chicago, IL where the championship brackets will be played on the real life version of Nuketown.

For those who are unfamiliar with Tactical Laser Tag, it's a paintball-style competition that focuses on two areas in which paintball competitions do not. Those are respawns, meaning a player may enter the game again after being eliminated, and prop interaction/mission objectives. Getting the most eliminations doesn't necessarily mean you have won the game, as each game type must be won by completing certain objectives, forcing teams to work together, communicate, and successfully implement strategy to win over brute force or gun skill.

In an interesting twist, the game types are familiar to millions of video gaming fans around the world. The competition features Call of Duty/Halo/Battlefield multiplayer video game types such as siege (Blitz), 3 point domination, and search ‘n’ destroy. The MLTS is also debuting its capture-the-flag variant game type in which the founder expects could be one of the most intense CTF game types one could play.

In addition, Stan Corley, the Founder of MLTS explained a unique free agent draft implemented for the event. "For the inaugural exhibition only, we will be holding a free agent draft at the event. This is to encourage participation from players that may not have a team but have the desire to play. Additionally, groups of 2-4 would be drafted together as one draft pick."

Teams will gather at 8:30 for a rules meeting/draft and take the field at 9:30 am for the first game. All players will have a meal afterwards and there will be an awards presentation. To cap off the night, there will be a bonfire social gathering for those that would like to attend. Camping and RV parking on site are available to out-of-town guests.
