She began with her student teaching at Roosevelt Wilson Elementary in Texas City Independent School District and then after a year accepted a position at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School in Texas City, Texas where she currently is in her 13th year. She has taught Language Arts, Computer and Technology classes, Reading, Spelling, Vocabulary, Social Studies, Religion classes, and Texas and U.S. history classes. Ms. Leonard is affiliated with Delta Kappa Gamma, which is a teacher sorority that she was nominated for by other teachers and was inducted as a member. She was born on December 9, 1978 in Galveston, Texas and obtained a B.S. in Education from the University of Houston in Clear Lake, Texas in 2003. In her spare time she enjoys bowling, family activities, watching football, basketball and spending time with her son, Robert who is a freshman in college this year.
