Pompano Beach, FL, October 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Military Makeover® is gearing up to give back to another military family by renovating a house they can call their dream home. But this season offers a twist – it is the first time the Military Makeover series, produced by Designing Spaces®, will make over a house that isn’t the family’s own --- yet. That’s because a marine widow is giving it to them.

Tune in to episode 3 this Friday, October 16, 2015 at 7:00 AM (ET/PT) on Lifetime® TV to see how this story begins with a generous 85 year old widow, Wilma “Tinky” Stuart.

Military Makeover presented by SunTrust Bank, Inc. will feature with the Big Reveal of the home's transformation on October 23, at 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Lifetime.

The 4-part heart-warming Military Makeover series will tell Tinky’s back-story and why she decided to donate her 3/2 + pool Eustis, Florida house mortgage-free as well as chronicle the step-by-step transformation of it before Army veteran Tommy Travis, his wife Bethany, and two young daughters move in.

Travis was enlisted in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Iraq for 15 months, during which time he watched two friends die, and suffered a brain injury after a grenade hit his Humvee. He has PSTD and traumatic brain injury. Viewers will need to tune in to hear this inspiring full story.

R. Lee Ermey, “The Gunny,” returns to host the series for the third time. Ermey is best known for his TV and Movie career which has spanned over three decades, including his break-out role as the tough Drill Instructor Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket. He is a retired United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant and Drill Instructor.

The renovations will go beyond the interior rooms of the 3/2 house, and extend into the garage and yard. Thanks to the generous donations from Sears Hometown Stores, iRULU® Technologies, Military Benefit Association, Protection 1 Security Solutions, Inc., The Tile Shop, Microsoft’s Skype, Old Village Paint, Intermatic, WoodSpring Suites, Cort, Wusthoff-Trident of America, Arpin Van Lines, Omaha Steak, and World Kitchen, the soon-to-be Travis house will receive the finishing touches needed to transform it into a warm and inviting home.
