2nd Annual "Laughs for Lyme"
Worcester, MA, October 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Central Mass Lyme Foundation will be having their 2nd annual “Laughs for Lyme” event on Friday, October 23 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Spencer Country Inn, 500 Main Street, Spencer, Massachusetts.
Michele and Ken Miller and their board members are excited to announce that they plan on having their 2nd annual “Laughs for Lyme” event on Friday, October 23rd, 2015 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
About the Central Mass Lyme Foundation
Formed in 2014, the Central Mass Lyme Foundation’s mission is to help raise awareness, educate, teach prevention and provide support to anyone wanting more information about Lyme and other tick-borne disease illnesses. Michele lost her Mom, Jeanne Cloutier from complications with having late stage Lyme disease in February, 2013. The Foundation is a public nonprofit 503c organization created in her memory.
Their mission
The foundation’s mission is to help each other heal physically and emotionally from Lyme and tick-borne diseases in all their complexity. To help each other end the social, psychological and medical isolation that is so often a part of these diseases and, to help prevent Lyme and associated tick-borne diseases by supporting research, education and testing.
What we do
The foundation holds monthly meetings every 2nd Saturday in Worcester at the Unitarian Universalist Church on 90 Holden Street, in Worcester, MA except in December. The foundations’ meetings consist of guest speakers that share various resources on Lyme Disease topics, such as nutrition, management, use of herbals, prevention, testing as well as provide support.
Laughs for Lyme
Local Musician and Entertainer, Dale Lepage will be our host to introduce
comedians, Anne Diaz, Ryan Staples, James Dorsey and Christine Hurley.
Adam Kennedy from Good Vibes will be our DJ for the night. The foundation will also have a 50/50 raffle that evening. All proceeds will help the foundation provide resources for our local communities.
