Trouver Selected as AWS City on a Cloud Innovation Challenge Finalist
Selangor, Malaysia, October 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Malaysia-based startup, Trouver, has been selected as one of the finalists in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) City on a Cloud Innovation Challenge. Through the City on a Cloud Innovation Challenge, AWS recognizes local and regional governments and developers that are innovating for the benefit of citizens using the AWS Cloud.
Trouver is a finalist in the Dream Big Award category for a project in which it plans to work with Malaysian Government to increase children safety in Malaysia. In Malaysia, a child goes missing every four hours. Parents fear their children might be abducted. Most abductions or attempted abductions occur when a child is known to be away from the parent. Currently there are only reactive solutions to this problem, such as telephone hotlines and missing children portal.
Trouver is a proactive solution in which, parents can easily track childrens' locations from anywhere and at any time. Trouver also increases child safety. It provides an instant alert the moment a child goes out of range from his or her parents' smartphones. Trouver enables community tracking where everyone in the community can contribute to Trouver network by just installing Trouver app in their smartphones. Trouver always provides last known location of children so law enforcement will know where to start in the event of missing children.
