Center for Family Relations Awarded Grant from The Texas Bar Foundation

San Antonio, TX, December 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Center for Family Relations has been awarded a $5,000 grant for the Supervised Visitation Program from the Texas Bar Foundation. Supervised visits allow children to have access to non-custodial parents in a safe environment that is effectively monitored and documented by another adult. This helps protect children from high-risk situations while providing the support and supervision needed for the parent/child relationship.

Founded in 1997, the Center for Family Relations provides a safe, child-focused environment for children to maintain positive relationships with their parents during times of family separation, divorce, or family reorganization. Healthy relationships between parent and child are developed, repaired or maintained with the help of the Center. For the past 17 years, the Center has continually increased services to meet the complex needs of Bexar County children who are struggling to cope with significant changes in their lives.

Since its inception in 1965, the Texas Bar Foundation has awarded more than $16 million in grants to law-related programs. Supported by members of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation is the nation’s largest charitably-funded bar foundation.
