Wincester, VA, January 01, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Yount, Hyde and Barbour (YHB) is proud to announce that principal, James Snyder, CPA, has accepted the opportunity to join the School of Accounting Guiding Executive (SAGE) Board for the James Madison University (JMU) College of Business.
The School of Accounting at JMU prepares students for active and engaging citizenship with the ability to apply accounting and business knowledge for the betterment of individuals and organizations. The program boasts both an undergraduate and graduate program.
Snyder will sit on the board with a select group of experienced certified public accountants working throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The board gathers formally once a semester to provide guidance to both programmatic and relevant curriculum changes. In addition to formal board meetings Snyder will actively engage in student mentoring, guest speaking, placement advice and assisting with fundraising.
“I am honored to have been chosen to help guide such a respected educational program,” says Snyder. “As an alumnus of JMU I am committed to using the experience I’ve gained at YHB to help keep the program focused on both high-level and practical skills.”
Snyder started his CPA career at YHB in 1989 and has since grown expertise in providing income and estate planning services, business consulting, and estate and trust administration services. Snyder primarily works in the YHB Leesburg, VA office but serves clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
