Houston, TX, February 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Apartment Boy today presented the winner of their Free Rent for One Year Contest to Miss Kellie Gardner of Houston, Texas. "We ran the contest all year to help people remember our service. But our company gives a portion of all funds to poor and orphaned children in partnership with World Vision," CEO Chris Dillard stated, "And we thought helping someone in Texas with a year's rent was a great way to make a difference as well." "I work two jobs and go to school," said Ms. Gardner. "Are you serious? A full year's rent. I don't have to pay rent? This is incredible. I love Apartment Boy."

Chris Morel, the Houston Area Leasing Manager who helped Ms. Gardner was also excited. "We speak to thousands of people a year and to have one of my clients win was like me winning," Morel said.

When asked if they were going to do it again this year, Mr. Dillard said, "We're considering something like this. But there are other things we're also looking at, like free monthly rent every month to different people... to kind of share the wealth," Dillard finished.

Apartment Boy was founded in December 2012 by Chris Dillard in Dallas and has spread to serve Houston, Fort Worth and San Antonio with plans to expand to Austin and Corpus Christi later this year. Apartment Boy serves the leasing market and also handles single family homes through its Dillard Properties brand. Apartment Boy provides a free service to anyone looking to lease an apartment or town home in Texas. As a result of utilizing the free service, Apartment Boy gives rebates to their Clients in amounts up to $200 each. They have paid out over $200,000 to people who use them. "People are overwhelmed with apps and websites," said Dillard. "We become a kind of human app. Service is the name of the game."
