March 2016: Dedicated to Honesty in Menlo Park

“Honesty is the best policy with others, but also, with ourselves.” - Dr. Robyn Silverman – Kuk Sool Won of Menlo Park’s Child Development Expert

Menlo Park, CA, February 29, 2016 --(PR.com)-- March 2016 is Honstey Month as part of Kuk Sool Won of Menlo Park’s Powerful Words Character Development program. All students will be studying, developing and experiencing powerful life lessons focusing on understanding the importance of being straightforward and truthful in their words and actions. In addition to all of the physical skills that they'll be working on this month, students will be discussing and practicing the following concepts both in and out of class:

· Honesty defined: What does it mean to lie or tell the truth through words?
· Lying through actions: Cheating, stealing and plagiarizing
· Honesty vs. Dishonesty: Benefits, consequences and being accountable
· When honesty isn’t the best policy: Feelings, flattery & stranger danger

“Honesty means being truthful, trustworthy, sincere and open. Honesty is about ensuring that things are as they seem and that actions match promises. When people are honest, they aren’t 'hiding' the truth in any way,” says Dr. Robyn Silverman, Kuk Sool Won of Menlo Park’s child & adolescent expert, and creator of the Powerful Words Character Development system used at the facility.

Kristin Quintana, Chief Instructor of Kuk Sool Won of Menlo Park says, “Honesty is a true leadership concept that we hold dearly here at our facility. Helping our members understand and truly focus on the importance of their own honesty as well as expecting it from those they interact with, will be life changing for many of them. The ability to form honest relationships will help our members to lead a more fulfilled life outside of our facility and truly help them become winners at the game of life. We’re all excited to see the positive impact that this month’s Powerful Words Curriculum has on our students as well as on our entire community. That’s what it’s all about for us and we take this very seriously.

“It’s a pleasure seeing our community recognized as a place with Powerful Character, and seeing our students lead the way! As this community’s premier Powerful Personal Development Center, we take this responsibility very seriously. We’re thrilled to help our students and our community to thrive and succeed, and Honesty month is going to help us to do just that.”

“Kuk Sool Won of Menlo Park’s strong curriculum and the Powerful Words Character Development system provide our students with the opportunities to become unstoppable in life. These lessons will remain with our students for life and we're honored to help them achieve the success that they deserve,” says Quintana.
