Denver Seminary Announces Master of Theology Degree
Littleton, CO, March 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Denver Seminary is pleased to announce the launch of a new advanced academic degree. Beginning Fall 2016, a Master of Theology (ThM) degree will be offered at the Denver campus. This 30-credit-hour program offers three concentrations: Old Testament, New Testament, and Theology. Adding a ThM to a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree is a great option for individuals looking to develop an academic specialization, deepen their biblical/theological foundations for ministry, or better prepare for PhD studies. (Individuals with Master of Arts degrees in Old Testament, New Testament, or Theology can apply for admission to the ThM program as well.)

Regarding the new program, President Mark Young states, "The Church needs to be constantly replenishing and expanding its scholarly community in order to address the diverse contexts of ministry. The ThM is the most advanced research based master’s level degree available to help meet that need. It provides an excellent opportunity for younger and emerging scholars to grow in their fields of learning. We are pleased to offer this degree for the first time in Denver Seminary’s sixty-five year history.”

The new ThM will provide students an opportunity to deepen their area of study through courses such as Advanced Greek Grammar and Linguistics, Studies in Trinitarian Theology, and The History of Ancient Israel. These classes will be taught by Denver Seminary’s esteemed faculty who are experts in their fields and dedicated to the academic development of students.

“Those considering a teaching vocation and pastors desiring to enrich their academic preparation will have the opportunity to study under a gifted and diverse faculty,” says Dr. Randy MacFarland, Provost and Dean.

More information about the new program can be found at DenverSeminary.edu/ThM. Questions should be directed to the admissions department, e-mail: Admissions@DenverSeminary.edu, and phone: 1.800.922.3040.
