Currency House Sponsors IMOCA Ocean Masters New York - Vendee Race

New York, NY, May 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Currency House, an online forex broker specializing in trader education, is pleased to announce their sponsorship of the IMOCA Ocean Masters New York-Vendée Race as the presenting partner alongside SpaceCode, an intelligent asset management company. Starting on May 29th, 2016 from Downtown New York, this single-handed sprint across the Atlantic to Les Sables D’Olonne, France, promises to be an exciting warm-up and qualifier for the 2016 Vendée Globe.

On 21 May, the boats will race overnight from Newport, Rhode Island, to New York as part of the SpaceCode prologue race. The race boats will arrive in IGY North Cove Marina at Brookfield Place, Downtown Manhattan from Sunday 22 May. Then, on Friday 27 May, the fleet will compete in the Currency House New York - Vendée Charity Race on the Hudson River, with the winning boat receiving a $5,000 USD cheque to be donated to the charity of their choice. 11am (EST) on Sunday 29 May will see the start of the New York Vendée - Race presented by Currency House and SpaceCode, the 4th leg of the IMOCA Ocean Masters World Championship 2015-2016.

The Vendée Globe is the world’s only non-stop solo round the world race without assistance, taking place only every four years. Starting 6 months before the 2016 Vendée Globe, the race has attracted all of the major competitors in the IMOCA Ocean Masters fleet. With seven IMOCA60s fitted with innovative foil technology the race is eagerly anticipated by yacht racing fans around the world. Sailing enthusiasts can follow the progress of the fleet during each of the races using the online race tracker which will be available on IMOCA Ocean Masters’ website at the time of the preliminary events on the 21sr and 27th of May, as well as during the transatlantic race from New York to France on May 29.
