Bernadine Santistevan, Latina founder and CEO of digital media company Wolf Dog, has been selected to attend the White House United State of Women Summit, emboldening women to take action towards gender equality.

New York, NY, June 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Bernadine Santistevan, founder and CEO of digital media company Wolf Dog, has been selected to attend the White House United State of Women Summit, emboldening women to take action towards gender equality.

The Summit, to be hosted by President Obama and the First Lady on June 14, will bring together a group of leading influencers to discuss issues impacting the empowerment of women and girls, including educational opportunity, protection, entrepreneurship and civic engagement. Jointly presented with the Department of State, Department of Labor, the Aspen Institute and Civic Nation, the White House initiative enjoys additional cooperation from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women, the Tory Burch Foundation, PepsiCo Foundation and the Ford Foundation.

“I am honored to be part of this high-level forum advancing opportunities and rights for women and girls as a key to global development,” said Santistevan. “As a Latina with roots in rural New Mexico, I have experienced first hand some of the challenges facing girls and women, including educational and social tools to cultivate leadership potential,” added the New York-based Stanford and Wharton grad.

Santistevan founded Wolf Dog in 2012 to create content imparting academic tools, life skills and ethics for future generations to positively impact the world. Products include Wolf Dog Tales, winner of the Best Animated Film award at Comic-Con San Diego and considered for Academy Award nomination, and Wolf Dog Stories, a digital media art exhibit connecting children to multicultural wisdoms (currently on a four-year tour in Australia, sponsored by the State of Queensland). Another project, Wolf Dog Workshop, Story Writing & Storytelling, is educational curriculum that uses digital media-based storytelling to develop English- and Spanish-language literacy skills and character building, reaching more than 40,000 elementary school children from underserved communities across the U.S. and India.

Santistevan’s activities extend to the corporate, entrepreneurial and technology sectors, most recently serving as a Venture Advisor for Global Good, Bill Gates’ private equity fund focused on deploying innovative technologies that address some of the world’s most pressing issues.
