Crete, Greece, June 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Hotels Apollonia Beach Resort & Spa, Sitia Beach City Resort & Spa and Santa Marina Beach organized an exhibition about the wildlife of Crete with information about endemic animals of the island and how to protect wildlife on holidays. Also the children in the Kid's Clubs painted pictures for this event and talked about animal protection and the wildlife of Crete.
Apollonia Beach Resort & Spa and Santa Marina Beach also organized a tour to participate in the liberation of wild birds (9 vultures) by the Greek Organization for the Care of Wildlife ΕΚΠΑΖ www.ekpaz.gr on the Jouchtas Mountain near Heraklion.
These birds were found in various parts of Crete, poisoned, beaten or exhausted and after receiving first aid by ΕΚΠΑΖ -partners on the island were transferred to the center in Aegina for their full recovery. Today these birds enjoy good health and it's time to reintegrate them in their natural environment.
