Cool Springs to Sponsor Anniversary Tee It Forward Event
Pittsburgh, PA, June 16, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Cool Springs has offered its support to The First Tee of Pittsburgh organization by participating as a sponsor of the Tee It Forward Event held today at the DICK’s Sporting Goods Corporate Headquarters in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.

Located in Bethel Park, Cool Springs serves as a multi-sports haven for youth and adult athletes alike. Boasting a fully turfed, 2-story driving range, refurbished 18- hole miniature golf course, and the Fairway Grille Restaurant and Sports Bar, Cool Springs is your new favorite golf destination. The driving range houses more than 58 hitting bays, state-of-the-art golf simulation training rooms, Protracer range technology and a pro-shop. Also located on the campus is the largest indoor, multi-sports complex in western Pennsylvania. The state-of-the-art, 169,000 square foot facility features three multi-purpose, fully turfed fields, two regulation hardwood basketball courts and four volleyball courts, as well as a fitness center for the community.

“We have participated in The First Tee of Pittsburgh partnership for years. It’s a terrific organization that supports youth involvement in the sport of golf,” says Jeff Ellis, resident PGA Professional. “The First Tee gets the new generation of kids excited about the game. With all of the golf technology available at Cool Springs, it’s a great way to attract this new generation.”

The First Tee of Pittsburgh supports a regional youth development initiative whose mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. The 15th Anniversary Celebration of the Tee it Forward event celebrates 15 years of being more than golf. Over 26,000 children are impacted annually through programs at nine area locations, in 50 schools and with partner nonprofits, faith-based groups and social services.

The partnership with The First Tee of Pittsburgh dates back prior to 2013, when Penn Cove Group Capital originally purchased the 58-acre property with plans to convert the aging golf center into a modern athletic complex serving a variety of sports.

“We are thrilled to not only be able to participate as a sponsor for such a worth-while event that helps positively impact the lives of many children in the Pittsburgh Region. We look forward to our continued partnership with The First Tee of Pittsburgh and hope to expand our involvement in the upcoming years,” said Brian Shanahan, Penn Cove Group Capital’s founder and Owner of Cool Springs.
