2nd Annual Fundraiser to Bring Aid to Child Care Communities Nationwide

T&L Foundation for Child Care Information Hosts Summer Sips and Strokes Event to Create Healthier Lifestyles for Children in Child Care

Malibu, CA, July 23, 2016 --(PR.com)-- T&L Foundation for Child Care Information, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is hosting its second fundraiser, Summer Sips and Strokes at Paradise Cove in Malibu, CA on August 6, 2016 at 1 pm. Foundation supporters, sponsors and board members will gather for an afternoon of painting, wine tasting and a silent auction.

The event, sponsored by Community First Mortgage and Lighthearted Entertainment, affords guests the opportunity to produce a painting with instruction provided by Brandon Pizzolo with Paint and Sip Studio LA, while overlooking the breathtaking view of the ocean in Malibu and sipping on wine.

Summer Sips and Strokes raises funds to get kids healthy in child care. The inaugural event, last year, sold out and raised over $3,600 which was awarded to the child care community across the nation through mini-grants. “We had over one thousand applications and were only able to fund 13 of those,” states Christine Clark, foundation co-founder. “There is a great need for what we are doing and have a goal to double what we raised last year.”

Rina Larida and Erika E. Aguilar with Evergreen Nutrition Program in Los Angeles were among the recipients of the T&L mini-grants. “As an agency, we understand the importance of child nutrition and education and how it can have a positive impact to both the providers and their day care children,” states Aguilar. “The materials purchased to launch our ‘Ready, Set, Go’ project will help our 400 day care providers expand their knowledge about nutrition and portion control and instill what they will be learning in their everyday practices.”

The silent auction will include donations from Four Seasons, Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows, Billy D’z, The Gallery, Underwood Family Farms, Disneyland, Rootementary, Café Firenze, an autographed baseball by Mike Scioscia and more.
