"Pawfriendly Landscapes - How to Share the Turf When Your Backyard Belongs to Barney," is available for sale at The Tattered Cover Book Store, Denver Botanic Gardens, Jared's Garden Center, Tagawa's Garden Center and Fort Collins Nursery.

Golden, CO, January 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The newly released book, "Pawfriendly Landscapes - How to Share the Turf When Your Backyard Belongs to Barney," which gives advice to gardeners and dog owners alike for creating beautiful yards, is available for sale at The Tattered Cover Book Store at www.tatteredcover.com, Denver Botanic Gardens at www.botanicgardens.org , Jared's Garden Center, Tagawa's Garden Center and Fort Collins Nursery for $14.99. Some of the proceeds will go to Good Samaritan Pet Agency in Denver.

Author and small business owner of Colorado's only pet friendly landscape design/install company, Elizabeth Bublitz, wrote "Pawfriendly Landscapes" to share her knowledge to gardeners who also own dogs. Many dogs are relinquished to shelters because of behavior problems, including destroying the backyard, but Ms. Bublitz has created a book addressing these concerns. "I use the dog as my muse when designing their backyard, he is a very necessary element of the design. We have to remember dogs use the backyard more than any other family member which is why it is so important to consider them and address their issues." Ms. Bublitz says there is nothing more rewarding than a homeowner not relinquishing their dog because of her solutions.

Pawfriendly Landscapes does not use shock collars or expensive, timely training classes, rather they use organic material or cost effective material found in everyone's garage. For more information you can visit her website at www.pawfriendlylandscapes.com or myspace.com/pawfriendlylandscapes
