Digital Music News Outlet The Encore Media Rebrands to Nü Echo Media

Digital music news outlet The Encore Media rebrands to Nü Echo Media to include two new aspects.

Charlotte, NC, September 28, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Digital music news outlet The Encore Media based out of Charlotte, North Carolina has officially rebranded to Nü Echo Media. For five years, The Encore Media functioned as a digital music news outlet and blended in with the rest of digital entertainment news. Nü Echo Media now stands alone as a place for fans to create the news.

Launching fan-authored section and adding founder Cait McMahon as an independent publicist, Nü Echo Media is a hub for music fans to create and publish monitored content from album reviews to photos, where press and publicity agents can find previously unknown opinion details from fans of their artists. Charlotte is a focus for almost every North American tour, making Nü Echo Media a crucial player for tour coverage.

Nü Echo Media’s pursuit:

“You perform for empty rooms. Albums aren’t sold. Crickets play in the background of your newest single. Merch never makes it to college lectures. Records don’t spin and mixed tapes aren’t made. Lyrics aren’t tattooed, road trips are silent, and love songs never get down on one knee. Festival grounds become deserts of memories. Without the fans, the music industry doesn’t exist.

“This is the Nü Echo. Where fans help create the content, photograph shows, review albums and rate artists. This is where you find out what the fans really think.”

The added function of independent publicist Cait McMahon allows Nü Echo Media to build strong connections to the local Charlotte music scene where artists from Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday to pop duo Tryon call home. With experience as a music journalist, marketing specialist and photographer for years, McMahon has the background to provide publicity to unsigned artists, building exposure and increasing their fan base with ethical and strong marketing campaigns.

“With social media and digital content flooding our minds, I wanted, needed, to create something different. As a music fan myself, I quickly realized the one audience the industry cannot thrive without – the fans. The people who decide what is newsworthy should be the people reading it, and now with Nü Echo, creating it. As a journalist I have seen too many blogs fail while trying to do the same thing everyone else is, simply spewing news hoping to get a few clicks. Nü Echo Media is not re-creating anything, we simply realized the most important and most valuable asset to the industry,” says McMahon.

Teaming up with New York-based Graphic Designer and music connoisseur Jen Hesselbach, Nü Echo Media’s logo showcases the simplistic idea of fan-content, with a modern feel. Also an important factor to the team is Editor Mari Billet. Formerly based out of Los Angeles, Billet now joins McMahon in the South Eastern music crux. Soon to be accepting new photographers and writers, Nü Echo Media is excited to announce the re-birth of Charlotte’s most dedicated digital music outlet.
