North Carolina Beer and Wine Distributor Supports Sustainability Group’s Annual Conference

Raleigh, NC, October 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Mims Distributing Company, a leading North Carolina wholesale beverage distributor, is partnering with The Wildlife Society’s Renewable Energy Working Group (REWG) by hosting a social at the parent society’s 23rd Annual Conference. The REWG, which focuses on wildlife and ecological issues associated with the siting, construction, and operation of renewable energy generating facilities, will take a tour of Mims’ sustainable facility and conclude with a social and networking reception on-site.

For more than 50 years, Mims Distributing has maintained a commitment to develop partnerships with groups throughout the state dedicated to the conservation of natural habitats and reusable energy resources. Committed to sustainability in its everyday operation, in 2011, Mims Distributing moved to a newly renovated facility, which includes one of the largest private solar rooftops in Wake County and bio-retention ponds to minimize on-site water consumption.

The tour of Mims’ facility and following networking event will be held for current and future members of the REWG at The Wildlife Society’s 23rd Annual Conference. The conference is one of the largest gatherings of wildlife professionals and students in North America and will take place Saturday, Oct. 15 through Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the Raleigh Convention Center.
