Cher Murphy Joins i4cp as Chief Talent Officer

Cher Murphy joins the firm’s executive team as an expert on talent acquisition, culture, and human capital advisory services.

Seattle, WA, October 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- In response to demand from its membership for enhanced focus on talent acquisition, the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp) has created the role of Chief Talent Officer, and is pleased to announce that Cher Murphy has joined i4cp’s leadership team. As Chief Talent Officer, Cher will provide enterprise member organizations with the insights and expertise to succeed, as talent risk becomes a more crucial challenge.

Murphy is a highly respected and experienced professional who has led both internal talent acquisition inside large corporations, as well as several years as a partner with global executive search firms. She will not only provide perspectives to i4cp’s members on talent assessment, talent acquisition, and succession planning, but also contribute to i4cp’s research initiatives on talent-related practices of high-performance organizations.

In addition, Cher will launch a new executive search practice that capitalizes on i4cp’s in-depth knowledge of high-performance organizations. The new search practice will focus on strategic HR searches, with the addition of a focus in searches for executives overseeing human capital analytics and culture initiatives.

“i4cp Executive Search is search reimagined, an offering designed to cut through the noise of executive search and provide organizations with top-flight human capital talent,” said Murphy. “I’m thrilled to join i4cp because, through decades of research, i4cp understands the people practices that drive high performance—and the underlying leadership and culture indicators that define great human capital leaders.”

“Cher has a proven track record of recruiting executive HR talent that creates significant shareholder value,” said Kevin Oakes, CEO of i4cp. “i4cp focuses exclusively on the people practices of high-performance companies, and specifically on the next practices that drive bottom-line business impact. We’re excited to have Cher on board so that we can deliver increased business impact to our corporate members.”

“With Cher’s experience in talent initiatives at many of the world’s top companies, her involvement in new i4cp research initiatives will be invaluable,” said Kevin Martin, i4cp’s Chief Research Officer. “Our member organizations are very focused on subjects like talent risk and the optimal structure of HR to maximize talent, and I’m looking forward to working with her on these and future studies i4cp will conduct.”

Murphy began her search career at Heidrick & Struggles. Prior to joining i4cp, she was a founding member of Allegis Partners Human Resources practice and a Partner at Hanold Associates, a boutique search firm that focuses solely on retained human resources engagements. She earned a BA in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Houston and an MS in Organizational Development at Pepperdine University.
