Top Orlando Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Phan Unveils His Waterlase Treatment

Orlando, FL, October 30, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Phan, who has been practicing dentistry for over 16 years, earned the prestigious Mastership Award from The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), placing him among the 1% of general dentists throughout the United States and Canada that hold this title.

Humbled to be distinguished by the AGD, Dr. Phan says it was his patients that inspired him to work toward this goal.

“I strive to become a better dentist every day to best care for my patients’ dental health.”

At Phan-tastic Smiles, Dr. Phan performs many procedures in one visit by using the latest, state-of-the-art dental equipment, such as the CEREC. This high-tech tool uses 3D photography and cutting-edge software to prepare, create and help place a permanent crown in just one visit.

Porcelain veneers, white fillings, Invisalign, gum treatment, implants, root canals, oral surgery, dentures, routine exams, and complex, full-mouth restorations are all done in-house by Dr. Phan.

Saving time is one of many reasons patients love going to Dr. Phan.

“Dr. Phan is undoubtedly the best dentist I’ve ever been to,” says patient Carl Osterberg. “He and his staff have always been very friendly and professional. Not only have I had root canals and crowns done in one visit but at no time did I ever experience any discomfort during these procedures.”

Away from the office, Dr. Phan enjoys gardening, golfing, tennis, and spending time with his family. Currently, Dr. Phan serves as a Florida Dental Examiner for The Commission on Dental Competency Assessments.

Just recently, Dr. Phan was featured in Lifestyle Winter Park magazine. The article discusses the benefits of a newer dental treatment called Waterlase and the lengths Dr. Phan goes to in making sure his patients feel at ease.

Here is an excerpt from the article, which was published by Lifestyle Winter Park in August 2016:

After eight years, Paula O’Dell, owner of Nonna’s Torte Dolci in Orlando, knew it was time to face her fears of the dentist.

This fear, which she developed as an adult after a bad experience, caused her to put off her cleanings and yearly exams. As a patient with gum disease, she was aware that she couldn’t continue avoiding the dentist.

When she met someone who recommended Dr. Cuong T. Phan of Phan-tastic Smiles and explained how gentle he was with his patients, Paula decided to give it a try.

By the time I got there, I needed a root canal and some deep cleaning on my gums, so I needed Valium just to walk in the door,” she says.

From the minute she met Dr. Phan, she knew she was in the right place. With Dr. Phan’s experience and respected designation as a Mastership Award honoree from the Academy of General Dentistry — the highest honor available within the dental profession — he was certainly the right dentist for Paula.

Putting the Fears at Ease

Dr. Phan used Waterlase Laser Dentistry for Paula’s gum treatment. This technique offers patients more comfort, more convenience and a ge-tler experience overall. It can also be used to treat cavities in addition to periodontal disease and discomfort associated with TMJ.

In Paula’s case, Dr. Phan used the Waterlase laser to treat her gum disease and essentially prevented her from having to undergo gum surgery. She says she was aware that there would be some discomfort but that she was never in any pain throughout the procedure.

Paula also notes that if she ever needed an injection at one of her visits, Dr. Phan was always gentle, taking her previous fears into consideration. During the injection, he would take his time and thoroughly explain what he was doing every step of the way. She remembers that Dr. Phan would put his hand on her shoulder before asking her if she was doing OK to keep her feeling calm and relaxed.
