One Doobert Volunteer Transports Rescue Dog Over 600 Miles

One Doobert.com volunteer transported a three-year-old rescue dog from Jefferson, GA to his new foster home in Labadie, MO.

Labadie, MO, November 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Last week, one Doobert.com volunteer drove a rescue dog over 600 miles from Jefferson, GA to his new home in Labadie, MO.

Copper, a three-year-old golden retriever mix, first arrived to Jefferson Animal Control in Jefferson, MO. Volunteers worked to find a rescue that Copper could stay at until a family adopts him.

At first, rescues could not take Copper in because he gave mixed signals with other dogs. However, Dog Saver Rescue in Washington, MO had a foster home available for Copper. Dog Saver Rescue rescues and rehabilitates stray, abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs.

Next, volunteers needed a way to get Copper from Georgia to Missouri. They turned to Rescue Transport USA to coordinate the transport using Doobert’s software. Thanks to an amazing and dedicated volunteer, Copper arrived to his new foster home in Labadie, MO.

Volunteers use the custom-built software on Doobert.com to save animals by volunteering, fostering, and/or transporting animals. This software helps solve the most difficult aspect of coordinating animal rescues: transportation. With Doobert.com, animal lovers around the country come together to bring animals to their forever homes.
