About Joyce Annor Kwakye
Ms. Kwakye is a Teacher and Educator for the New York City Department of Education, Home Instruction School in New York, New York. She is responsible for teaching students with multiple disabilities including cognitive, dyslexia, dystharthria, dyscalculia, cancer etc. and the severely handicapped (either physically or emotionally) to be accommodated in a regular or a special class in a school building. These students are taught at home by a licensed Home Instruction Teacher/Home bound Teacher.

Born in Ghana, Ms. Kwakye obtained a M.S. in Special Education from CUNY City College. She joined the New York City Department of Education as a fellow after spending 11 years on Wall Street with E. F. Hutton, Shearson Lehman and Prudential Securities where she was a Dividends Research Specialist.

Ms. Kwayke is proud that her students perform well. All have received their New York State Regents diplomas, or passed their City-Wide assessment tests and qualified for grade promotions. She is affiliated with the U.F.T., A.F.T., and N.Y.S.U.T. In her spare time she enjoys family activities, reading and sewing.
