LA Rams Team Up with ECF to do Well by Doing Good

Los Angeles Rams partner with local nonprofit in Inglewood to employ adults with special needs.

Los Angeles, CA, December 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Rams are back in Los Angeles and are supporting the Inglewood community by partnering with a local nonprofit to help employ adults with special needs.

The Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF) was founded in 1946 and has evolved into a comprehensive social service organization that provides services to over 3,600 young children, students, and adults with special needs, and their families, each year.

ECF’s newest initiative, Pathways to Employment, operates from their new Exceptional Building in Inglewood, just a short distance away from the site of the new NFL stadium. Pathways to Employment offers adults with developmental disabilities a continuum of work development and training services, providing them with the specialized skills and experience they need to effectively compete in today’s job market and secure meaningful employment.

The Los Angeles Rams are partnering with ECF’s Exceptional Packaging Solutions, which provides participants with skills training and paid work experience for packing, assembling and fulfillment contract work for local and regional businesses. The Rams’ charitable donation packs are being assembled and distributed by ECF participants. This partnership is playing a key role in helping to create jobs for adults with intellectual disabilities, while also meeting an important business need for the Rams.

“ECF is proud of earning a spot on the Los Angeles Rams’ roster of partners,” says Scott Bowling, President and CEO of ECF. “We look forward to delivering excellent service to the Rams organization while employing adults with a variety of unique abilities.”

Both the Los Angeles Rams and ECF began operating in 1946. Now 70 years later, they have joined together in the Inglewood community. “We are excited to be working with ECF and helping to create jobs in the Inglewood community. This is a natural a win/win partnership,” says Molly Higgins, Vice President of Community Affairs and Engagement for the Los Angeles Rams.
