Mission Federal Credit Union Partners with CBS Channel 8 on Their 8’s Go Red for Women Campaign

San Diego, CA, January 05, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Mission Federal Credit Union is partnering with CBS 8 for the second consecutive year on 8’s Go Red for Women project benefiting the American Heart Association San Diego Division.

Mission Fed is proudly launching its Red Dress Pin and Paper Heart campaign beginning January 17, 2017 through February 28, 2017, with all proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association San Diego Division. The mission is to raise awareness and invite San Diegans to join the fight against women’s heart disease, the leading threat to women’s health.

Throughout the campaign, all 30 Mission Fed branch locations will be accepting donations, distributing Red Dress Pins and displaying Red Paper Hearts with participants’ names in branch offices. A minimum $5 donation is suggested to receive a Red Dress Pin and Red Paper Heart, while supplies last. If you prefer to make a donation without receiving a Red Dress Pin, Mission Fed will display a Red Paper Heart for a minimum $1 donation.

The American Heart Association San Diego Division works to educate the public on family history of heart disease, understanding the risk factors and empowering the community to live a healthier, heart-conscious life, while supporting life-saving research.

During the 2016 Red Dress Pin and Paper Heart campaign, Mission Fed raised $5,500 for the American Heart Association San Diego Division. They need your help to exceed that amount in 2017.

“It’s amazing what we can do when we all join together to touch hearts, save lives and make a real difference in the battle against heart disease and stroke,” said Angie Lasagna, VP Community Relations, Mission Fed.
