Yoconut Dairy Free Offers "Yoconut DF Subscriptions" on Indiegogo as Company Gears for Increased Scale and Expansion

Yoconut Dairy Free (YoconutDF) is a plant based food product and is made entirely out of coconuts. The crowdfunding campaign for YoconutDF is currently active on Indiegogo until March 1, 2017.

San Francisco, CA, February 18, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Yoconut Dairy Free (YoconutDF) is a San Francisco based company which focuses on creating delicious snacks, using an innovative approach, according to Bonnie Lau, CEO and Founder of Yoconut Dairy Free. Lau defines YoconutDF as an innovative “super snack” which is allergy-friendly, naturally hydrating, and one that has live active cultures, as well as a product that captures all of the benefits inherent to coconuts. When describing the impetus for her product in a recent interview, Lau states, “I realized the world needed a better yogurt.” Lau is a self-described foodie and an athlete who described her reason for developing YoconutDF as “wanting to create a super snack that is delicious, healthy, low in sugar, and one that has healthy fats and moderate calories.” YoconutDF has 120 calories per serving. According to Lau, she started research and development to develop YoconutDF in 2014. Three years and several hundred recipes later, Lau stated, she and her team have “developed the perfect 'super snack' in this capacity.” Bonnie Lau states on the company’s current Indiegogo campaign that “there is power promised in eating food that is good for you. It gives you the extra boost so you can do the things you love, and live your best life.”

In the development of YoconutDF the team has utilized all parts of the coconut. YoconutDF’s first two ingredients are coconut water and coconut milk. Lau states “Coconut water is a natural source of electrolytes, and coconut milk has good fats and properties known to support beauty.” The product is available in four flavors: “Original,” “Madagascar Vanilla Bean,” “Chocolate- Coconut,” and “Pineapple.” Lau describes it as a more sustainable and environmentally friendly choice as opposed to the product’s dairy counterparts. Lau stated in a recent interview, “I eat YoconutDF for breakfast, pre- or post- workout, as dessert and everything in between. I would only develop a product which I could believe in.”

The Indiegogo campaign for Yoconut Dairy Free is available here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/yoconut-yogurt-reimagined-world-super-snack--2#/. The purpose of the campaign, according to Lau is to position the company for expansion and increased scale, for an eventual launch in stores nationwide. A unique offering, available by way of the “perks” on the aforementioned crowdfunding link is the ability to obtain a YoconutDF subscription. The YoconutDF subscriptions can be obtained by participating in the crowdfunding campaign. Subscriptions of YoconutDF are available for pick up in the following counties: Alameda, Contro Costa, Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo. The subscription for the coconut yogurt can be “gifted” as well. There is a particular campaign incentive or “perk” in which the YoconutDF subscription may be shipped to the gift recipient. YoconuDF has partnered with Thrive Market for purposes of the current campaign on Indiegogo. There is a contribution “perk” which includes contributors donating at the $24 level, who will receive a one year Thrive Market membership, as well as 25% off their first order with Thrive. An additional partnership for the current YoconutDF campaign is with the company called Gr8nola. Contributors who donate at the $60 level receive a one month YoconutDF subscription (20 YoconutDF servings), as well as a complimentary 11 ounce bag of Gr8nola in their choice of granola flavor.

Currently, YoconutDF is available at the following stores in the San Francisco Bay Area: Marina Super, Golden Natural Foods, 26th and Guerrero, Village Market, Vegan Republic, and Fort Mason Farmer’s Market. The following stores are stores which have confirmed having the products on their shelves in the future, according to CEO Lau: Alameda Natural, the Bay Club, Berkeley Bowl, Bi-Rite Market, Cal Mart, El Cerrito Natural Grocery, Good Life Grocery, selected Whole Foods, Sigona’s Farmers Market, and more. The goal of the company founder is to have the product that is free of the eight most common allergens, aside from coconuts, on shelves nationwide. Lau concluded, “To have the reach we would like to have, to include full accessibility to the public on a nationwide basis, my team encourages all to participate as you can in the crowdfunding campaign, so that we can bring Yoconut Dairy Free to your favorite store.”
