Town of Brownsburg Selects Axia Technology Partners for Its Phone and Unified Communications Needs

The Town of Brownsburg, Indiana has selected Axia Technology Partners as the provider of its telephone service and unified communications platform. Axia Technology Partners now services 12 municipal governments and 14 school system across the state of Indiana.

Indianapolis, IN, February 24, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Axia Technology Partners (AxiaTP) announced today that the Town of Brownsburg has selected Kerauno to replace its existing PBX phone system. An AxiaTP customer since 2011, this upgrade provides the Town of Brownsburg with functionality not available even just a few years ago.

“Like most Internet-based technologies, phone systems have made huge advancements in a very short time,” said Josh Ross, Managing Partner at Axia Technology Partners. “By upgrading to Kerauno, the Town of Brownsburg not only gets the most up-to-date technology for today, but essentially ‘future-proofs’ their telecommunications system for years to come.”

That future proofing comes in the form of Kerauno’s robust API architecture, which enables the Town of Brownsburg to integrate the platform with any new technologies they might deploy as the city grows. Brownsburg has seen phenomenal growth in the last decade, doubling its population over the last 16 years to more than 25,000 people, with a quarter of that growth coming in the last five years.

The new, premise-based system consolidates the phones for city agencies including Police, Fire, Water, Utilities, Parks and Recreation, and all other government offices. In addition to providing functions like citywide extension dialing, automated conference bridges, email faxing, and drag & drop call transfers, Kerauno includes enhanced features such as the ability for outbound emergency notifications via voice and SMS texting.

Axia Technology Partners has carved out a niche with public organizations, now servicing 12 municipal governments and 14 school systems across Indiana. “Kerauno’s flexibility and scalability is appealing schools and government offices,” Ross said, “they really see the value in being able to integrate their communications system with existing software, as well as whatever might be coming in the future.”

First released in 2015, Kerauno has been gaining momentum and was awarded “Best Cloud Solution” at the 2016 ITEXPO, as well as being named a “2016 UC Product of the Year” by TMC. Axia Technology Partners recently announced that Kerauno will have its own, proprietary softphone client called “Kerauno Bolt” later this spring, which will enhance the overall user experience for those needing a mobile business phone solution.
