Keith Stroup Brings “NORMLization” and the Future of Marijuana to the California Cannabis Business Expo, March 5-8

San Diego, CA, February 25, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Keith Stroup, founder of National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), brings his team and the group’s thoughts on the future of marijuana legalization to the California Cannabis Business Expo, March 5-8, Sheraton Marina, San Diego.

Stroup, who founded NORML in 1970 as a consumer-oriented non-profit dedicated to ending marijuana prohibition and legalizing the responsible use of marijuana, will offer his unique perspective at the opening night keynote address on March 5 at 7:30 PM. He also will be introducing Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R.-Calif.), a staunch cannabis supporter, and keynote speaker on March 6 at 1:00 PM.

“Given the success of the 2016 elections as it relates to cannabis, we couldn’t ask for a better opening night speaker for the California Cannabis Business Expo,” said Randy Shipley, president of MJIC, Inc., and the show’s coordinator. “Keith has been front and center in the battle and - more often than not - he’s been leading the charge. He’s set the tone for the industry and it’s an honor to have him set the tone for the conference.”

Norm Kent, vice chairman of NORML’s board, will discuss the future of both medical and adult-use legalization in Florida on March 6 at 4:45 PM, and NORML’s new Executive Director Erik Altieri will be in attendance as well.

The California Cannabis Business Expo will feature an expo hall along with session tracks covering cultivation, extraction, the science and medicine of cannabis, and the Marijuana Investor Summit. There are numerous networking events including a career fair, entrepreneur showcase, CannaPitch and a 420 crawl featuring some of San Diego's finest restaurants that are known to be 420 friendly.
