Pittsburgh Therapist Invents Powerful Hitting Device

Pittsburgh, PA, March 11, 2017 --(PR.com)-- A Pittsburgh occupational therapist has one answer to developing a powerful batting swing and baseball coaches are taking notice.

Norm Gustafson of Canoe Creek Products explains: "A key component of sports medicine and athletic training is the principle that exercises to improve sports performance should match the critical movements necessary to perform the sport. This concept is known as 'functional training.'"

Canoe Creek Products today introduces baseball players and coaches to the Gorilla Track Functional Training Aid for developing batting power and strength.

Gustafson, a Pittsburgh area occupational therapist, says, “This exercise device provides the appropriate resistance force and direction to maximally exercise all the muscles used to develop a powerful baseball batting swing.”

Area baseball coaches who have tried Gorilla Track, agree.

“We mounted the Gorilla Track easily to our closet door and now we can exercise day or night, rain or shine, in season or off season,” says Tim Kirsch, coach of the TJ Jaguars youth sports team in Pittsburgh.

Brian Lust is coach of the Pittsburgh Tigers girls fast pitch softball team. He says, “The Gorilla Track is wonderful for my girls. It helps them with their core muscles and their hand control through the hitting zone. The other coaches and I love it.”

Developing batting power requires strong hip and trunk rotation as well as arm strength. According to Gustafson, this new training aid is the only exercise device that directly exercises the hip and trunk core muscles of rotation as well as arm and hand muscles.

The secret of the patent pending Gorilla Track is the three foot long high-strength coiled spring that rides inside a curved track that matches the power arc of the baseball batting swing. By moving the padded handle against the spring resistance the athlete gains strength, power, balance and confidence.

“I’ve also found the Gorilla Track helps my golf swing by working my arm and shoulder muscles as I make a swing arc. Again, it builds strength, power and balance,” Gustafson says.

Canoe Creek Products is taking orders now for the Gorilla Track (priced at $85.00) including shipping and handling at:
