Local Art League Helps Martin County Schools

The Hobe Sound Fine Arts League is honored to host their 4th Annual Advancement for the Arts Luncheon, to supplement funding for local Martin County schools' arts programs.

Hobe Sound, FL, March 16, 2017 --(PR.com)-- It's no secret that funding for arts programs is almost non-existent. With budgets as low as $250 for an entire year's supply of consumables for as many as 500 students, teachers often resort to self-funding for additional items such as paint, pencils, paper and pastels.

In 2016, only it's third year hosting the luncheon, the League proudly raised over $4000 for three elementary schools, one middle and one high school. This year, they are hoping to raise over $5000. The art teachers from each of these programs participate in the luncheon, bringing samples of their students' work to show the attendees. They express such appreciation for this fundraiser, since many of their projects wouldn't be possible without the generous donations from the League members and friends.

The public is welcome to participate by attending the luncheon and silent auction on Saturday, March 25, at 11am, at the Lost Lake Country Club. In addition to a fabulous meal and presentations from each of the schools, there will be a raffle for six (6) pieces of art and silent auction for several gift baskets

Tickets for the luncheon are available for $35 each and can be obtained from any League member, or call the office at: 772-546-2946. Of course, any person or organization interested in donating toward these scholarships should contact the League office.
